To become a CA, one must opt ​​for the Commerce stream after completing the 10th grade. Subsequently, students can register for the CA Foundation course. The CA Foundation course consists of four papers: Accounting, Law, Mathematics, and Economics.

Once a student successfully clears the CA Foundation course, they proceed to enroll in the CA Intermediate level. This stage comprises two groups with a total of eight papers. The subjects covered include Accounting, Costing, Taxation, Auditing, and others.

After gaining some professional experience, this annual salary can rise to between ₹15 lakhs and ₹25 lakhs. Senior CAs can comfortably earn ₹40 lakhs or more per annum.

Many CAs operate by establishing their own firms. In such cases, they charge fees based on the client's business, earnings, or scope of work. Their annual income can run into crores of rupees.
