Punjab News: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released the practical examination schedule and detailed guidelines for the annual examinations to be held in February/March 2026. According to the letter issued by the board, the practical examinations for classes 8th, 10th, and 12th will be held from February 2nd to 12th.

Short video clips of the exams to be preserved

These examinations will include regular students as well as open school, compartment, re-appear, and additional subject candidates. This year, the board has taken a significant decision: from the 2025-26 academic year, the Computer Science practical examinations for class 12th will also be conducted by external examiners. These exams will be held at the students' own centers, and the question papers will be sent through an online link. Meanwhile, the Computer Science practical examination for class 10th will be conducted at the school level, and examiners have been instructed to securely store short video clips of the examination so that they can be sent to the board if needed.

External examiners to be appointed for these subjects

The board will appoint external examiners for core subjects of class 12th such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy-II, Fundamentals of E-Business, Home Science, and Computer Applications. District Education Officers will rotate the duties of computer lecturers/teachers from government and private schools to other schools. For the remaining subjects, practical examinations will be conducted at the school level using question papers prepared by the respective subject teachers. The board has instructed the Group District Education Officers (Secondary), Group District Managers (Regional Offices), and Group School Heads across Punjab to ensure strict adherence to these instructions.
