Who Can Apply?

Eligibility criteria vary depending on the specific post. For the Driver position, candidates must have passed the matriculation (10th standard) examination. Furthermore, a valid driving license for both light and heavy vehicles, along with at least three years of driving experience, is required. A degree in Law is mandatory for the post of Clerk (Legal). For the post of Clerk (Accounts), candidates must have studied at least one of the following subjects—Statistics, Mathematics, or Accounts—during their graduation. Qualifications in Computer Science, IT, BCA, PGDCA, or related fields are required for the post of Clerk (IT). For the Translator post, a graduation degree along with a 120-hour computer or IT course certification is required. A degree in Music, Drama, or Dance is the qualification specified for the post of Field Artist. Additionally, candidates must fulfill the prescribed conditions regarding the Punjabi language.

Age Limit and Application Fee

The minimum age limit for all these posts is 18 years, and the maximum is 30 years. Age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved and specific categories will receive relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with Punjab Government rules. Application fees vary by category: ₹1,000 for General/Sports candidates; ₹250 for SC, BC, and EWS candidates; ₹200 for Ex-servicemen and their dependents; and ₹500 for PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates.

Selection Process

Selection for the PSSSB recruitment will be based on a written examination, Punjabi and English typing tests (where applicable), and document verification. A typing speed of 30 words per minute is required for the typing test.
