UP Police Head Operator Result: Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has declared the result of the online written examination conducted under Direct Recruitment 2022 for 936 posts of Head Operator / Head Operator (Mechanical) in Radio Cadre. This examination was conducted in three shifts at various examination centers in Uttar Pradesh from 30 January 2024 to 31 January 2024.

Normalization and Eligibility Criteria

Since this examination was conducted in more than one shift, the marks of the candidates have been normalized as per the release. According to the recruitment release, each candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% normalized marks in all four subjects, only then he will be considered eligible for the next stage.

Document verification and physical standard tests will be held on this day.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board proposes to conduct the process of document verification and physical standard test (PST) of successful candidates for radio cadre recruitment in the last week of March 2025.

Physical Efficiency Test and Final Selection Process

As per the orders of the High Court, only eligible and qualified candidates will be allowed to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The candidates who will be successful in this examination will be included in the next stage of the selection process as per their normalized marks obtained in the written examination, government orders, and reservation rules.

Engineering graduates are considered ineligible
The High Court, Lucknow Bench in its decision has declared engineering graduates ineligible for this post. This decision has been reaffirmed on 06 March 2025. However, due to technical reasons, both diploma and engineering graduate candidates have been included in the result of the written examination, but only three-year diploma holders will be considered eligible for the next stage.
