The portal for the re-evaluation and verification of CBSE Class 12 answer sheets has closed. The Board had kept the application portal open from June 2 to June 7. Meanwhile, students continue to report difficulties. Just before the deadline, many students complained on social media that they were unable to log in to the portal. Some students stated that even after filling out the application form and paying the fee, they were logged out of the system, leaving their process incomplete. The Board has claimed that a large number of students successfully applied within the stipulated period; however, students and parents have raised questions regarding the statistics and the application process.

**Many students missed the application deadline**
Many students have shared their grievances regarding the CBSE re-evaluation portal on social media. Students reported being unable to log in to the portal after 11 PM. Some mentioned being logged out of the system after completing the application form and paying the fee, resulting in the loss of their progress. They also faced difficulties logging in again subsequently.

**Demand to extend the application deadline**
Distressed students have appealed to the CBSE to extend the application deadline by at least a day or two, giving a chance to those who could not complete their applications due to technical issues. Many students have also taken to the social media platform 'X' to urge the Board for relief.

**CBSE releases application statistics**
According to information shared by the Board, over 1.6 lakh candidates successfully submitted requests concerning more than 3.8 lakh answer sheets during the application period. CBSE states that these figures demonstrate that a large number of students availed themselves of post-result services.

**Questions raised regarding the statistics**
However, questions have arisen concerning the data released by the Board. Students and parents have asked for a breakdown of the 1.6 lakh requests—specifically, how many were for re-evaluation and how many were solely for the verification of marks. Additionally, an attempt was made to determine whether technical issues and login failures could be a reason for the lower number of applications.

Discrepancy between the May post and recent data
Students have also cited a post made by the CBSE on May 26, which stated that over 4 lakh applications had been received for copies of scanned answer sheets. In contrast, recent information mentions requests related to 3.8 lakh answer sheets. Does this imply that 20,000 students did not apply for re-evaluation and verification? Consequently, students are seeking clarification regarding the discrepancy between these two figures and want to know whether copies of the answer sheets were provided to all applicants.
