PM-USP Scheme: The Himachal Pradesh School Education Department has issued a notification. The department stated that the Prime Minister's University/College Scholarship Scheme (PM-USP), launched by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, has opened for the academic session 2025-26. Under this scheme, meritorious college and university students across the country will be provided financial assistance so they can continue their higher education without financial constraints.
Interested students can now fill out the online form on the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in. The department stated that the deadline for submitting applications is October 31, 2025.
Who can apply?
All meritorious students who wish to apply for scholarships in 2025 can apply for this scheme. Additionally, students who received scholarships in 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024 are also eligible to renew their applications. Students can submit applications for new scholarships or renewals by visiting the online portal.
Cut-off Marks
The department clarified that cut-off marks have been set for the top 20% of students in different categories, meaning who will be eligible to apply. The cut-off marks for this have been determined based on the March 2025 examination. The minimum marks are 413/405 for General/SC categories, 412 for OBCs, 406 for STs, and 392 for students with disabilities.

First, log in to the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in.
Now apply for a new scholarship or renew an existing scholarship.
Afterward, upload all the required documents and fill out the form correctly.
Finally, complete and submit the application form.
