PM Shri Yojana: To provide better, modern, and quality education to students, 799 government schools in Madhya Pradesh have been selected under the central government's ambitious PM Shri (Prime Minister Schools for Rising India) scheme. The School Education Department is now developing these schools into model, modern, and inclusive educational institutions in line with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). This will provide students with quality education and a safe, comfortable, and inspiring learning environment. Through the PM Shri scheme, Madhya Pradesh is presenting a strong model of quality, innovation, and inclusion in the field of education. These schools are not only preparing students for the challenges of the present but are also playing a crucial role in developing them into capable citizens of the future.

These works are being done in MP:
Under the scheme, extensive work is being done in each academic session for the infrastructural upgrade of the schools. The strengthening of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other educational facilities is continuously improving the academic environment of the schools. Under the Green School concept, solar panels are being installed, and clean drinking water and sanitation facilities are being developed. This is also increasing awareness among students about environmental protection.

ICT Labs, Digital Libraries, and Promotion of Innovation
To encourage STEM education and innovation, ICT labs, interactive panels, and digital libraries are being developed in all higher and senior secondary PM Shri schools. Along with this, 458 Atal Tinkering Labs are being established in the state, which is promoting scientific thinking, innovation, and technical skills among students.

In accordance with the provisions of the National Education Policy 2020, vocational education has been effectively implemented in the schools. Vocational courses are being conducted in 650 out of 663 higher and senior secondary PM Shri schools in the state. This is providing students with job-oriented skills and making their future more secure.

CCTV Surveillance
To strengthen school administration and leadership, principals of PM Shri schools have been provided special training at prestigious institutions such as IIM Indore, IIM Raipur, and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Additionally, prioritizing student safety, CCTV surveillance systems, and fire safety arrangements are being ensured in secondary and senior secondary schools. Extra classes are also being conducted for better preparation of students in board examinations.
