PM Internship Scheme 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Who can apply for the PM Internship Scheme?

1- The age of the applicant should be between 21 to 24 years.

2- The applicant should be an Indian citizen and he should not be doing a full-time job anywhere.

3- Applicants whose parents or spouses are in government jobs or who are studying full-time cannot apply.

5- At present, such youth cannot join this 1-year internship scheme, whose parents or spouses have an annual income of more than Rs 8 lakh.

6- No member of the family should be an employee of the central or state government.

PM Internship Scheme 2024 Reservation Policy: Will you be able to avail the benefit of reservation in the PM Internship Scheme?

The central government announced the PM Internship Scheme in the general budget to provide internships to 1 crore youth in the top companies of the country in the next 5 years (Budget 2024). According to the information, a target has been set to provide internships to 1,25,000 youth in the financial year 2025. The reservation policy of the central government will remain applicable in this entire scheme including the pilot (Reservation Policy). The central government will also give a lump sum of Rs 6,000 to the candidates selected in this scheme.

PM Internship Scheme 2024: What should be the qualification for the PM Internship Scheme?

In the PM Internship Scheme, 10th or 12th pass youth, who have studied ITI certificate, diploma from Polytechnic Institute or courses like BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, B Pharma, can apply. Currently, some 8th-pass youth have also expressed their desire to be a part of it through the call center. There is no provision for them in the government's plan at present, but it is believed that a decision can be taken regarding this in the future.

PM Internship Scheme 2024 Registration: Who cannot apply for the PM Internship Scheme?

PM Internship Scheme is being started for needy youth. Youth who have studied at top institutions cannot apply for it.

1- Youth who have taken degrees from institutions like IIT, IIM, National Law University, IISER, NID, and Triple IT cannot apply for internships.

2- Youth who have CA, CMA, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or any kind of professional master's degree or above, also cannot apply.

3- Those who are part of any skill apprenticeship internship or student training program in the schemes of the central or state government will also not be eligible for this scheme.

4- Youth who have completed apprenticeship or are taking training under the National Apprenticeship Training Program or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme at any time cannot apply for this.
