PM Internship Scheme: In this scheme, youth will get money along with skill development, registration will start from today

PM Internship Scheme: The PM Internship Scheme announced by the Central Government for internship for youth aged 21 to 24 years in the country's 500 reputed companies is going to start. The duration of the internship will be 12 months. At least half of the internship period will have to be spent in real work experience or job environment, not in the classroom. Youth who have studied 10th or above will be able to register for this scheme from today. The portal of the scheme is starting from today. Under the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme, eligible candidates can register online by visiting pminternship.mca.gov.in. During the internship, every intern will get Rs 5000 as a stipend. Out of this, Rs 4500 will be given by the Central Government while Rs 500 will be given by the concerned company under Corporate Social Responsibility. Every intern will also be insured under PM Suraksha Bima Yojana and PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
The internship will last for one year.
After the online application process starts from October 12, it will run till October 26. After this, from October 27, the selected youth will be allotted a company for internship. After the list is released by November 7, offer letters will be sent from November 8 to 25. After this, from December 2, interns will start internship in their respective companies. The reservation policy of the Central Government will be applicable in the entire scheme.
These documents will be necessary
Under the scheme, the skills of one crore youth across the country will be improved by providing them internship in the top 500 companies of the country in the next five years. Aadhar card, passport size photo, educational qualification documents will be required to apply. While applying, every intern will be given a maximum of five options for internship in companies registered by October 11.
Most opportunities in oil, gas and energy sector
Top companies have been identified on the basis of the average expenditure made in the CSR head in the last three years. There are most opportunities in the gas, oil and energy sector for registration in the internship scheme. After this, there are opportunities for internship in tour-travel and hospitality sector.
Keep these things in mind
Youth between 21 to 24 years can apply who have done 10th, 12th, ITI, Polytechnic Diploma or BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, B Pharma. Youth studying by enrolling in online or distance learning program can apply for internship.
These people cannot apply for internship
Youth whose parents or spouse is in government job or whose family income is more than eight lakh rupees or who are studying full time course will not be able to apply. Applications of youth who have taken degree from institutes like IIT, IIM, National Law University, IISER, NIT and Triple IT will not be accepted. Those with professional degree have been excluded from the scheme.
Those doing apprenticeship are also excluded
Youth who are doing or have done any skill apprenticeship internship will not be able to apply. Youth who have been a part of any student training program of central or state government will not be eligible for this scheme. Not only this, youth who have completed apprenticeship or are taking training at any time under National Apprenticeship Training Program or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme will also not be able to apply.
