The court said, "Since the court has serious doubts about the conduct of the main written examination by the agency appointed for the said purpose, the court has decided to cancel the main written examination held on July 13, 2025, to ensure fairness in the examination process."

It also mentioned that the written examination will be conducted in three sessions: English, General Awareness and Reasoning, and Mathematics.

He said, "Candidates can download their e-admit cards from the recruitment corner of the High Court website between November 17 and December 5."

Firm's role in SI recruitment scam exposed
Sources said the Orissa High Court cancelled the main examination after it learned that Silicon Tech, one of the firms involved in the SI recruitment scam, had conducted the process.

Meanwhile, the CBI has formally taken over the investigation into the Sub-Inspector of Police (SI) recruitment scam and registered a case at its Bhubaneswar branch.

Sources said a dedicated team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)-level officer will thoroughly investigate the irregularities.

The Odisha Police Crime Branch, which is investigating the SI recruitment scam, has so far arrested 126 people, including 114 aspiring candidates.
