NEET UG 2024: The Ministry of Education has held a press conference on the NEET UG result case. In this, DG of the National Testing Agency Subodh Kumar Singh said, "We had conducted this exam at 4700 centers. We declared the result on June 4. NTA is a transparent organization and we address all the challenges. He further said, "Questions were being raised on higher marks and toppers... This is the biggest exam, 24 lakh candidates took this exam. 1600 candidates got the wrong paper, they did not get full-time. It happened in many places that the students did not get full-time. Many such candidates went to the High Court and asked for compensation for the time they lost.

'The matter is only about 6 centers and 1600 students'

The DG of NTA said, "A committee was formed and it found that there was time loss, after which their marks were increased. Questions are being raised in the media as to how 719-718 came, we declared the results only after investigating everything. This has not happened in the whole country, it has happened in only a few centers due to which 1600 students were affected. We are investigating this. A committee has been formed will see who among these 1600 students has lost time and it happened in 6 centers. This committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the former UPSC chairman and other members. We will get their recommendations in a week. The matter is only about 6 centers and 1600 students."

Will there be a re-examination of NEET again?

During the press conference, the NTA director said, "If the committee feels that there should be a re-examination, we will conduct it."

The controversy started after the NEET UG results were announced this year. This time, not one or two but 67 students scored 720 marks and made it to the toppers' list. At the same time, students also scored 718 and 719 marks, which also raised questions.
