You will need to update all your documents before applying for the JEE Advanced exam, according to the NTA. The NTA has issued a notice informing students in this regard. Let's find out what the notice says.

JEE 2026 NTA Notice: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important notice for JEE Main 2026. According to the notice, all candidates will be required to update their documents before registration. The list of these documents includes Aadhaar card, UDID card (if applicable), and category certificate.

JEE 2026 Exam: When will the JEE exam be held?

The 2026 exam will be conducted by the NTA in two sessions. The first session will be held in January 2026 and the second session in April 2026. The online application form for the first session will be available in October 2025 at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Exams May Be Difficulty

The NTA has clearly stated that students should update all important documents before the application process begins. If a student's documents are not updated, they may face difficulties in taking the exam.

Why is correction needed?

The NTA has taken this step to ensure that students can make timely corrections if their name, date of birth, or other details in their Aadhaar card do not match their Class 10 certificate.

Aadhaar Card – This card must contain the correct name, date of birth (as per the Class 10 certificate), latest photo, address, and father's name.

UDID Card (for Persons with Disabilities) – This card must be valid, updated, and renewed if required.

Category Certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) – This certificate must be updated and valid.
