There is a major update for candidates preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a significant resource for these aspirants: an AI-based national mock test application called 'National Test Abhyas'. A trial of this application was recently conducted by the NTA and proved successful. The app is completely free for all students, regardless of their current grade level.

Let’s explore the details. We will look at how the NTA’s 'National Test Abhyas' app functions, the scale of the trial conducted, how to download the application, and the process for registering to take the mock tests.

**Successful Trial Involving 10,000 Candidates**
The NTA has launched the 'National Test Abhyas' app specifically for students preparing for medical and engineering entrance examinations. The app was rolled out following a successful trial phase, which involved 10,000 students.

**What Makes 'National Test Abhyas' Special?**
The 'National Test Abhyas' app, developed by the NTA, offers several unique features. It allows students preparing for medical and engineering exams to take mock tests from the comfort of their homes and identify their areas for improvement. Currently, 500 test papers have been uploaded to the app, with plans to add more. Additionally, the app includes tools for self-study, advanced analytics, and real-time personalized performance reports. In essence, students can use these mock tests to facilitate their self-study and gain immediate, personalized insights into their performance.

Test Paper Accessible Only After Disabling Internet; Two Types of Mock Tests Available
A key feature of the 'National Test Abhyas' app, developed by the NTA, is that students can only access the mock test papers once their internet connection is disabled. In other words, the mock test paper will only open after the internet has been turned off.

The 'National Test Abhyas' app offers two types of mock tests: a 12-minute test consisting of 6 questions, and a 180-minute test consisting of 75 questions.

Once a student selects an option, they will be prompted—via an on-screen instruction—to switch their device to 'airplane mode' (i.e., go offline). After taking the device offline, students will be able to view the details of the mock test. They can then proceed to answer questions for specific subjects or all subjects, according to their preference.

Registration via Mobile Number and Email
The 'National Test Abhyas' app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Users can register on the app using their mobile number and email address. Once registration is complete, students can take a mock test at any time.
