NTA Exam Calendar 2026-27: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official exam calendar for the examination cycle spanning December 2026 to March 2027. It outlines the proposed dates for various national-level examinations. The objective of this calendar is to inform students, candidates, and educational institutions about the tentative schedule of upcoming exams, enabling them to plan their studies and other academic activities in advance.
However, the NTA has clarified that the dates listed in the calendar are proposed and tentative. They are subject to change due to administrative, academic, legal, logistical, or other unforeseen circumstances.

UGC-NET and JRF-related exams to be held in December
Several important examinations are scheduled for December 2026. The Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) exam will take place early in the month, on 6 December. Following this, the SWAYAM examination is scheduled for December 8–12.
The Rashtriya Military Schools examination will be held on December 13.
The UGC-NET (December cycle) examination is scheduled for December 14–19, 2026, with a buffer period allocated for December 20 and 21. The Joint CSIR-UGC-NET (December cycle) examination is scheduled for December 20 and 21.
JEE Main and NIFT Entrance Exams in January
Several major examinations will also take place in January 2027.
The Army Cadets College examination is scheduled for January 4.
The SHRESHTA (NETS) examination will be held on January 10; the NIFT entrance examination is also scheduled for the same day.
Subsequently, the crucial JEE Main 2027 (Session 1) examination for engineering aspirants is scheduled between January 22–24 and January 28–30, with a buffer day on January 31.
The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination is scheduled for January 31.
Exams in February, including CMAT
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is scheduled for February 7, 2027.
Following this, the Phase 1 examination for the National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) will be held on February 26 and 27.
CUET-PG Examination in March
The Common University Entrance Test-Postgraduate (CUET-PG) is scheduled for March 2027. The exam will be conducted between March 1–5, on March 8, and between March 12–20; additional dates are proposed for March 24 and 25. A buffer period for CUET-PG has been allocated for March 30 and 31. The NITTT Phase 2 examination is scheduled for March 5 and 7.
