The NTA procured a total of 95,000 wall clocks for the NEET-UG re-examination held on June 21. These clocks were installed in almost every room across all exam centers, both within the country and abroad. A major benefit was that students could utilize their time effectively without the constant anxiety of checking the time. Under the NTA's strict regulations, wearing any kind of watch—digital or analog—inside the exam hall was strictly prohibited; thus, the presence of wall clocks in the exam rooms made it much easier for students to keep track of time.

**A New Idea Stemming from Student Feedback**
NTA Director General Abhishek Singh stated that feedback was sought from students following the cancellation of the exam originally scheduled for May 3. Many students requested that the time remain visible throughout the exam so they could manage it better. While some centers already had clocks, most did not; the NTA decided to implement this measure in late May to ensure uniform facilities for all students.

Major companies were unable to supply 95,000 clocks in the short span of just three weeks. Consequently, the NTA completed the task on time by sourcing the clocks from several smaller companies.

**What Happens to the Clocks Now?**
With the re-examination concluded, the question arose: what would be done with these clocks? The NTA has made an excellent decision: all the clocks will be gifted to the schools where the exams were conducted, allowing the students studying there to benefit from them in the future. According to NTA Director General Abhishek Singh, since many students from these schools will go on to prepare for NEET, the clocks will prove highly useful to them.

Clocks to be provided in future NEET-UG exams as well
It is worth noting that over 20 lakh students appeared for this re-examination across 5,440 centers in India and abroad. Officials have also clarified that clocks will be provided in examination rooms for future NEET-UG exams.

This re-examination was conducted under tight security, one month after the original exam was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak. The NTA has declared the exam a complete success, although some students felt the paper was slightly more difficult this time compared to the previous one.

Results coming soon
Currently, the NTA has released the provisional answer key for the NEET-UG re-examination. Work on the OMR response sheets is underway, and they will soon be uploaded to the website. With the answer key now out, students are eagerly awaiting their results. The Director General has assured that the re-examination results will be released very soon.
