NTA: NTA launches duplicate scorecard facility; here's how to apply...

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a facility for candidates to obtain duplicate scorecards if their original ones have been lost or damaged. Candidates who appeared for NTA exams—including JEE Main, NEET UG, and CUET PG—can avail themselves of this facility. However, before applying for a duplicate scorecard, candidates must check for their scorecard on DigiLocker. If the scorecard is available there, it can be downloaded and used, eliminating the need for a separate application.

**Check Scorecard on DigiLocker First**
The NTA advises candidates to check their records on DigiLocker before applying for a duplicate scorecard. Scorecards for many candidates may already be available there; in such cases, candidates can simply download the scorecard from DigiLocker. Candidates need to apply for a duplicate scorecard only if it is not found on DigiLocker.

**Application Must Be Submitted in the Prescribed Format**
The application form for a duplicate scorecard is provided in Annexure-1 of the notification issued by the NTA. Until an online application portal becomes available, candidates may apply using the prescribed format. Candidates must also provide the required documents when applying. The application form and documents must be submitted in accordance with the procedure specified by the NTA.

**Hard Copy Required in Addition to E-mail**
Candidates must first submit the application-related documents via e-mail. Subsequently, a hard copy of the application form must also be sent to the NTA; Registered Post or Speed ​​Post may be used for this purpose. Please note that submitting an application solely via e-mail will not suffice; the hard copy of the application must reach the NTA within the stipulated timeframe. Therefore, candidates should carefully review all necessary documents and the prescribed procedure before applying.
