NMMS Haryana Scholarship 2025: Online registration for the National Means Cum Eligibility Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2025 has started by the Haryana Education Department. Interested students can apply on the official website of the Haryana Board of School Education from 8 September to 15 October 2025. The examination will be held on 30 November 2025.

Under the NMMS scheme, the selected students will be given a scholarship of Rs 1000 per month and Rs 12,000 annually. This amount will be available from class 9 to 12th. That is, students can get financial assistance of up to Rs 48,000 in total in four years.

What is the NMMS Scholarship

The National Means Cum Eligibility Scholarship was started at the central level in the year 2008 by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD). These scholarships have been created to provide financial assistance to economically weaker meritorious students. By providing an amount of Rs 12 thousand annually, the objective of this scholarship is to encourage economically weaker students to study secondary education from class 9 to class 12.

143 students were selected last year

Last year, a total of 2348 had applied from the district for the examination. Out of this, 2199 students had taken the exam. Out of this, 143 students who passed were selected, who are being given an amount of Rs 1 thousand by the department every month.

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship scheme is only for those students who are currently studying in class 8. Selected students will get the benefit of a scholarship from class 9 to class 12. The annual income of the family of the candidates applying for the scheme should not exceed Rs 3.30 lakh. Thus, this scheme provides support to economically weak but meritorious students to continue their studies.

The scholarship exam will be held on November 30
Haryana NMMS Scholarship Exam will be held on November 30, 2025. The exam will run from 11 am to 2 pm. The admit cards of the students appearing in the exam will be made available for download on the official website of Haryana Board of School Education about 10 days before the exam date.
