NIPUN Bharat: Under the Nipun Yojana, the Delhi government will test the ability of about eight lakh children studying in government schools. Under this, the ability to understand mathematics of children studying from class 1 to class 8 will be assessed by taking their examination. The schools that will meet the set targets will get the status of Nipun Vidyalaya. Teachers are also being given special training for the Nipun Yojana.

Under the Nipun Bharat Yojana, the government aims to provide basic literacy and numeracy (FLN) to every student studying up to class VIII by the year 2026-27. Through this, the progress of the students will be constantly monitored so that the quality of studies can be improved.

What is the Nipun Bharat program?

The Nipun Bharat program was started on July 5, 2021. Its purpose is to successfully implement the New Education Policy 2020. The literal meaning of Nipun (NIPUN) is - National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with Understanding and Numeracy.

Objective of Nipun Bharat Program
The objective of Nipun Bharat is to meet the learning needs of children in the age group of 3 to 9 years. This initiative aims to ensure that every child in the country acquires basic literacy and numeracy skills by the end of Grade 3 by 2026-27.
