NIOS releases Class 10 results; not happy with your marks? Here’s what to do next..
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released the results for the Class 10 April-May 2026 session. A total of 66.92% of students passed the exam this year. Students who appeared for the exam can now view their scorecards online by visiting the board's official website. To check the result, students will need their enrollment number. It is worth noting that some students may not be satisfied with their marks; however, there is no need to worry, as NIOS offers re-checking and re-evaluation facilities for such students. Students can apply for this once NIOS announces the dates for re-checking and re-evaluation, thereby participating in the process to potentially increase their marks.
**How were this year's results?**
A total of 1,15,414 students registered for the NIOS Class 10 exam this year, out of which 1,02,558 appeared for the test. The overall pass percentage stood at 66.92%.
**Pass percentage for boys and girls**
Regarding the performance of boys and girls, the pass percentage for male students was 66.16%, while the pass percentage for female students was recorded at 64.93%. Meanwhile, the pass percentage for transgender students was 55.56%.
**What marks are required to pass?**
According to NIOS regulations, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass the exam. For subjects that include both theory and practical components, the combined total must also be at least 33%.
**How to check the result?**
First, visit the official NIOS website at nios.ac.in.
Click on the 'Class 10 Result 2026' link provided on the homepage.
Enter your enrollment number and click the submit button. Your result will appear on the screen.
Now, download the result and take a printout for future reference.
