New initiative by Jamia and IIT Madras: Free online certificate courses in various subjects for students in grades 9 to 12..

School Connect Programme: Jamia Senior Secondary School (part of Jamia Millia Islamia - JMI) has launched a special initiative in collaboration with IIT Madras's 'School Connect Programme' for students in classes 9 through 12. The aim is to introduce students to various subjects and career options through online learning. Under this program, students will have access to eight-week online certificate courses covering subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Computing, Humanities, and Management.

Additionally, students will be able to learn about modern and rapidly emerging fields like Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Economics and Finance, Law, Digital Humanities, Ecology, and Forensic Sciences.

**Benefits for Class 9 and 10 Students in Subject Selection**
This initiative will help them understand their own interests and capabilities. It will make it easier for them to decide whether to opt for the Science, Commerce, or Humanities stream when they reach Class 11.

**A Major Opportunity for Class 11 and 12 Students**
Students in classes 11 and 12 will gain a better understanding of various fields. This will enable them to make more informed choices regarding undergraduate (UG) courses and future career paths.

**Diverse Options: From Engineering to Game Technology**
Through this initiative, students can also gain insights into fields such as Electronic Systems, Architecture and Design, Product Design, Biological Systems, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Game Technology. The program aims not only to impart academic knowledge but also to raise awareness among students about future possibilities and the evolving needs of the job market.

**IIT Madras E-Certificate**
Students who complete the course and fulfill the prescribed requirements—such as assignments and examinations—will be awarded an e-certificate by the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) at IIT Madras. This will allow students to gain professional skills and career exposure at an early stage.
