The provisional result for the 'Stray Vacancy Round'—conducted for the remaining seats in NEET UG 2026—has been released. This final round of counseling is designed to fill any seats left vacant in MBBS and BDS colleges following the main counseling rounds.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the provisional result for the Stray Vacancy Round for NEET UG 2026. This final phase of counseling fills the remaining seats in MBBS and BDS colleges after the conclusion of the primary counseling rounds. If you applied for this Stray Vacancy Round and have been allotted a seat, you must complete the document verification and admission process at your allotted college within the stipulated timeframe. Furthermore, according to the guidelines issued by the MCC, if a candidate identifies any error in their provisional allotment result, they may object by 11:00 AM today, October 20.

The Stray Vacancy Round serves as the final stage of the NEET UG counseling process. It provides an opportunity for eligible candidates—who did not secure a seat in previous rounds—to apply for the remaining vacancies. These vacancies may arise because candidates previously offered a seat either declined the offer, failed to report to the college, or did not accept the seat for other reasons. This round is particularly significant as it represents the last chance to secure a seat in an MBBS or BDS college through the regular counseling process. Candidates who miss this round will have no further opportunities for the current year.

Documents required for college reporting

The final result for the NEET UG 'stray vacancy round' will be released only after the MCC has addressed and resolved any objections raised by the candidates. Once the final seat allotment is announced, students will be able to report to their respective colleges. For the purpose of reporting, students will be required to provide documents such as their original Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, NEET UG score card and admit card, category certificate, photographs, proof of identity, and a transfer certificate.
