NEET UG Result: The NEET UG exam was out of 720 marks, yet no one secured full marks; so, what is this year's highest score?
NEET UG 2026: The NEET UG results were declared late Thursday night. Approximately 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam this year, out of whom 11.21 lakh have been declared eligible for admission to courses including medical, dental, and AYUSH. Notably, 58 percent of the successful candidates are girls. Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana topped the exam by securing the highest score of 715 marks.
This time, 138 candidates scored above 690 marks, while 19 candidates scored above 700. Additionally, 1,492 candidates secured more than 650 marks, and 90,780 candidates scored above 500. State-wise, the highest number of successful candidates—1.07 lakh—came from Uttar Pradesh.

This year, no candidate secured the full 720 out of 720 marks. However, there was stiff competition among the top performers. This year, the highest score achieved by candidates securing the top rank was 715. In contrast, the NEET UG topper last year scored 686 marks; this represents an increase of 29 marks in the top score.
Once again, no candidate achieved a perfect score in NEET. Previously, in 2019, 2022, and 2025, no candidate managed to secure 720 out of 720 marks. This time, too, the top score remained at 715.
