 Social media

With only a few days remaining for the NEET UG re-examination and various fake question papers circulating on social media, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a portal for the convenience of students and the general public. Here, they can report suspicious activities related to the exam, claims of fake paper leaks, and attempts at impersonation (cloning). This step has been taken as officials strive to ensure the fairness of the re-examination scheduled for June 21. This exam is being conducted following the cancellation of the initial NEET UG exam; the original exam was cancelled due to controversies surrounding paper leaks in several states on May 3.

Through this platform, candidates can provide information regarding suspicious websites, social media posts, and individuals making false claims about having access to exam materials. The NTA has warned candidates against falling prey to misinformation, fake question papers, and individuals promising guaranteed results in exchange for money. The NTA stated, "Do not let rumors define your NEET UG 2026 journey. No one has access to the question paper prior to the exam."

The facility to report fake claims has been made available via the MyGov portal and will remain open from June 14 to June 30, 2026. Candidates can log in to register complaints regarding suspicious activities related to the examination process.

What can be reported?
Websites or social media accounts claiming access to NEET UG 2026 question papers or answer keys.
Individuals claiming access to confidential exam materials or offering leaked question papers.
Incidents involving the impersonation (cloning) of NTA officials, government representatives, or exam center staff.

Students can report their concerns under these three categories. This portal has been launched under the comprehensive framework of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, aimed at curbing examination-related malpractice and ensuring the fair conduct of public examinations. Candidates who come across any suspicious claims can register or log in to the portal to provide detailed information regarding the suspicious activity.

**Advice Against Believing Fake Claims**
The NTA has advised candidates to rely solely on official sources for exam-related updates and information. Candidates are urged to follow the official NEET and NTA websites and avoid unofficial channels that spread incorrect or fake claims.

**Over 22 Lakh Candidates to Appear for the Exam**
The NEET-UG re-examination will be held on June 21 from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. More than 22 lakh candidates, who were registered for the exam originally held on May 3, are eligible to appear for this re-examination; it is being conducted under tight security arrangements following the paper leak incident that occurred last month.

**Over 10 Lakh Candidates Downloaded Admit Cards**
According to the NTA, more than 10 lakh students have downloaded their admit cards for the NEET-UG re-examination within approximately 24 hours of the download facility becoming available. Technical teams are monitoring the server load, and the NTA will ensure that all candidates receive their admit cards well in advance of the examination.
