NEET-UG Re-Exam 2026: Following the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy, the Central Government appears to be in no mood to take any further risks. This issue, which concerns the future of millions of students, had sparked a major nationwide controversy. Following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in the examination, the government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) faced persistent scrutiny. Consequently, extensive preparations are now underway to ensure that the upcoming NEET re-examination on June 21 is conducted with complete security and transparency.
According to available information, the government is seriously considering utilizing Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft to transport the question papers to the examination centers this time around. It is believed that this measure could significantly minimize incidents such as paper leaks, theft, or tampering during transit.
Government on High Alert Regarding NEET Re-Exam
In the wake of the paper leak controversy, the government is determined to ensure that no irregularities of any kind occur during the examination process this time. For this reason, multi-layered strategies are being formulated regarding the security arrangements for the re-examination. A high-level meeting concerning this issue was held in Delhi, attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Senior officials from the NTA and various ministries were also present at the meeting.
Question Papers May Be Transported via Air Force
According to reports, the meeting included discussions on the feasibility of transporting the NEET re-examination question papers to various states using Air Force aircraft. The government believes that utilizing air transport would facilitate more effective security and surveillance during the transit of examination papers. This would significantly minimize the likelihood of paper leaks or irregularities occurring en route; however, a final decision regarding this plan has not yet been reached. Reports suggest that the proposal will be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for final approval. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is personally monitoring the preparations for the NEET re-examination.
How Were Papers Transported Previously?
Until now, question papers for several major examinations—including NEET—were transported to examination centers via the Postal Department and other traditional channels. However, in the wake of the paper leak controversy, the government is now preparing to further bolster security arrangements. Consequently, for the upcoming examination, assistance from the Indian Army or the Air Force may be enlisted.
