The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses for NEET UG 2026. Here are the details.

In a major relief to the lakhs of candidates who appeared for the NEET UG 2026 medical entrance exam, the NTA has released their scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses. Candidates can now cross-check the answers they marked. If they notice any errors or discrepancies in the recorded responses, they can file an online objection within the stipulated timeframe.

The NTA has made this facility available on its official website, neet.nta.nic.in. Additionally, the scanned OMR sheets have been sent to the candidates' registered email IDs to ensure easy access to their records. To further enhance security, the agency has implemented OTP-based two-factor authentication; this means that after logging in, candidates must verify their identity using an OTP received on their mobile number or email.

Through this process, candidates can verify whether the answers they marked on the OMR sheet during the exam have been correctly recorded in the system. If a discrepancy is found in the recorded response for any question, an online challenge can be raised against it.

Objections Accepted Until July 15

According to the NTA, the process for challenging recorded responses began on July 13, 2026, and candidates can submit objections until July 15, 2026. A processing fee of ₹200 is applicable for challenging each question. This fee can be paid online via debit card, credit card, or net banking. Challenges submitted after the deadline or without the payment of the fee will not be considered. However, the agency has clarified that this facility is available only for potential errors regarding the OMR sheet and recorded responses. The process for raising objections against the answer key has already concluded; therefore, no new challenges related to the answer key will be accepted.

It is worth noting that the original NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted on May 3, 2026. Although the provisional answer key was released on May 6, the exam was subsequently cancelled. The NTA then conducted a re-examination on June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Over 20 lakh candidates from across the country appeared for this exam. Now, following the release of the OMR sheets, candidates are awaiting the final results.
