NEET UG Counselling: The deadline for the NEET UG stray vacancy round counselling has been extended; choices can now be filled until November 13...
NEET UG Counseling 2025: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for choice filling and locking, providing significant relief to candidates participating in the NEET UG 2025 stray vacancy round. This move comes after 1,232 MBBS seats remained vacant under the All India Quota (AIQ). After releasing the list of vacant seats, the MCC has given candidates additional time to select their college and course preferences.
Colleges and courses can now be filled until November 13th.
Candidates can now select and lock their preferred medical college and course until 11:55 pm on November 13th, 2025. This entire process will be completed online on the MCC's official website, mcc.nic.in.
Important changes in registration and rules
The MCC has clarified that all candidates participating in the stray vacancy round are required to re-register. Old registrations will not be eligible for participation in this round. Additionally, the choice filling process will have to be renewed.
New deadline for PwD and NRI candidates
Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category will now be able to obtain their certificates from MCC-authorized disability verification centers by November 12, 2025.
NRI quota candidates were required to submit their required documents to MCC via email by November 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
Seat allotment results may be delayed
Due to the extension of the choice filling deadline, seat allotment results may be delayed. These results were originally scheduled to be announced on November 12, but MCC may announce new dates soon.
States have also changed their schedules.
Several state counseling authorities have changed their state-level NEET UG counseling schedules following the MCC's decision to allocate state seats only after the All India Quota process is completed.
MCC issued this advice.
MCC has urged all candidates to regularly visit the official website, mcc.nic.in, for any new information or updates, so as not to miss any important announcements.
