NEET UG Counselling 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has introduced a registration reset option for the NEET Undergraduate Counselling 2026 Round 1. This facility is designed to assist candidates who may have inadvertently entered incorrect information or selected wrong options while completing the registration process. Candidates can rectify errors in their counselling registration until 11:00 PM on August 12; the correction window will close after this time.

According to the issued notice, eligible candidates can amend their registration details by using the 'Unlock/Re-set Registration' option.

Who can reset their registration?
Those who entered incorrect information during registration.
Those who selected incorrect options during the registration process.
Those wishing to correct their registration details before the Round 1 deadline.

Important Note
The MCC has also advised all candidates to regularly check the official website for any further notifications, schedule changes, or information related to the counselling process. Candidates requiring corrections to their Round 1 registration should complete the reset process before 11:00 AM on August 12, 2026.

Important dates for NEET UG Counseling 2026 (Round 1):
Registration and fee payment can be done from August 5 to August 12, 2026 (until 3:00 PM).
However, the payment deadline is August 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
Choice filling is available from August 6 to August 13, 2026 (until 11:00 AM).
The choice locking facility will remain open from August 11 (4:00 PM) to August 13 (11:00 AM).
Seat allotment processing: August 13 to August 16, 2026.
The Round 1 result will be declared on August 17, 2026.
Reporting/joining is scheduled from August 18 to August 22, 2026.
Verification of candidates who have joined by the institutes is to be completed by August 23, 2026.
