NEET UG Counselling 2025: Seats increased for Round-3 counselling, choice filling opportunity extended till October 16..

There's significant news for students who registered for NEET UG Round 3 counseling. The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has released a new seat matrix, increasing the number of seats for NEET UG Round 3. The MCC has also extended choice filling/locking until October 16, 2025. Students can now fill/lock their seats according to the new seating requirements.

Changes in Round 3 Counseling Dates
The MCC has revised the Round 3 counseling dates. Choice filling/locking will now be allowed until October 16, with results released on October 18. Students will then be able to report to their colleges from October 19th to 27th to receive admission. The complete schedule can be found in the table below:

Registration Start Date: September 29, 2025 (from 12:00 PM)
Registration Last Date: October 9, 2025 (until 3:00 PM)
Choice Filling Date: September 30 to October 16, 2025 (until 11:55 PM)
Choice Locking Date: October 16, 2025 (from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM)
Seat Processing for Round 3: October 17 to 18, 2025
Round 3 Result Release Date: October 18, 2025
Round 3 Reporting Date: October 19 to 27, 2025

Stray Round Counseling Will Be Held on These Dates
After the completion of the NEET UG third counseling, candidates will be able to register for the final, i.e., stray round counseling. Registration for the Stray Round will begin on October 30th and continue until November 3rd. Students will be able to fill/lock their choices from November 1st to 5th. The Stray Round counseling results will be released on November 8th, 2025. After being allotted a seat, students will need to report to the college between November 9th and 15th to receive admission. Required Documents for Reporting
Students must provide all the required documents when reporting to the institute. Therefore, all students should prepare their documents now. Some important documents include the NEET scorecard, NEET exam admit card, 10th-grade certificate and marksheet, 12th-grade certificate and marksheet, ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN card/driving license/passport), eight passport-sized photographs, provisional allotment letter, caste certificate (if applicable), residence certificate, disability certificate (if applicable), etc.
