How to Get an MBBS BDS Seat: After the NEET UG exam, students go through the counseling process to get admission in the course of their choice. MBBS and BDS seats are available through the NEET UG (NEET Undergraduate) exam. After passing this exam, candidates are allotted seats through the counseling process. It has some steps that you have to go through.
Counseling Process: Candidates have to participate in the counseling process, in which they have to select the college and course of their choice.
Seat Allocation: After the counseling process, seats are allotted to the candidates.
Document Verification: After seat allocation, candidates have to get their documents verified.
Admission: After document verification, candidates are given admission to the college.
Good marks are required.
Every year, lakhs of students appear in the NEET UG exam, through which they can get admission in medical courses. However, getting admission in a course also depends on your marks. Because for MBBS, you need good marks, and for college, your marks should also be good.
If we talk about qualifying marks, then it is also different category-wise. For general category candidates, they have to score 138 marks out of 720, while candidates from reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) have to score 137-108 marks. For admission in a government medical college, general category candidates have to score more than 620, OBC more than 575 and SC/ST more than 480 marks.
