NEET UG Counseling 2025: Deadline to leave the seat extended, now the opportunity will be available till September 3

MCC has given a big relief to the students in NEET UG Counseling 2025. Now candidates can leave the seat till September 3 without losing the security deposit. Also, new disability centers have been added for the PwBD category, and the Divyangjan portal will remain active till September 9.

NEET UG Counseling 2025: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has given a big relief for the first round of NEET UG Counseling 2025. While earlier the candidates had the opportunity to leave the seat only till the stipulated time, now the committee has extended its deadline to September 3, 2025 till 5 pm. Till this period, candidates can leave their allotted seat and the most important thing is that their security deposit will also not be forfeited in this process.

Resignation not valid without online confirmation

The notice issued by MCC clearly states that only verbal or offline resignation will not be valid. If a student has taken admission in the college and taken the seat confirmation letter, then he will have to go to the college and get the resignation. On the other hand, students who have not yet taken the confirmation letter can resign directly through the portal. Such cases will be considered as Free Exit.

It is also to be kept in mind that it is mandatory for the college to register the resignation online on the MCC portal, otherwise it will be considered illegal.

New centers for disabled candidates

MCC has also given a big facility for PwBD candidates in the MBBS admission process. Now many new medical colleges have been designated to issue disability certificates. This will facilitate the candidates in obtaining the certificate. According to the interim guidelines of NMC, now students will be able to get medical examination done at the newly added centers in addition to the already existing 16 centers.

Divyangjan Portal open till 9 September

The Divyangjan Portal is active for the second round of NEET UG counseling and it will remain open till 12 noon on 9 September 2025. Interested candidates can upload their certificates on time using this portal.

This move of MCC makes the process of medical admission more transparent and student-friendly. Now students will get a lot of relief from the facility of leaving the seat within the stipulated time and easy certificate process for Divyang candidates.
