Uttarakhand Government Announces Free Bus Travel for NEET Aspirants: The Uttarakhand government has taken a decision providing significant relief to students preparing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. The state government has announced that candidates who are permanent residents of Uttarakhand and are appearing for the re-exam will be able to travel for free on State Transport Corporation buses. This facility is being provided in view of the NEET UG re-exam scheduled for June 21. Let us explain how to avail this facility and what steps need to be taken.
How to avail free travel
According to reports, students heading to the exam will be able to travel for free on ordinary-class State Transport Corporation buses by showing their admit cards. This facility will be available from two days prior to the exam until the day of the exam. Additionally, after taking the exam, students can continue to avail the free travel benefit while returning from the exam center to their homes or places of residence for up to two days after the exam. The government believes this will alleviate financial and travel-related difficulties for students coming from remote areas. Many candidates have to cover long distances to reach exam centers; thus, this initiative could prove to be very helpful for them.
