NEET UG 2026: Providing relief to NEET UG candidates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for verifying or modifying bank account details for fee refunds. Eligible candidates can now confirm or update their bank details by visiting the official NEET portal until 11:50 PM on July 7, 2026.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind candidates who were unable to update their bank details within the previously stipulated timeframe or who had entered incorrect information.

What did the NTA say?
In its official notice, the NTA stated that the refund portal will remain open until 11:50 PM on July 7, 2026. During this period, candidates can view their bank account details, confirm them, or make corrections if necessary.

According to the agency, the objective is to ensure that no eligible candidate is deprived of the fee refund due to a technical or clerical error.

How to update bank details?
Candidates must first log in to the NEET UG registration portal. Subsequently, they need to complete the two-factor authentication process.

After logging in, click on the 'Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation' link. Here, confirm the bank account information or modify it if required.

If necessary, candidates can also upload a cancelled cheque to ensure the bank account details are verified correctly.

No changes allowed after submission
The NTA has clarified that once the verification process is complete and the bank account details are submitted, the information provided will be considered final. Therefore, candidates should thoroughly check all details before submitting the form to avoid any issues in receiving the refund.

Steps to update bank details
Visit the official NEET UG website. Click on the link "Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on 03 May 2026)."
Sign in using your login credentials.
Open the candidate dashboard.
Verify the bank account details or update them if necessary.
Submit the form after carefully checking all the information.
Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
