NEET Admission from 2026
The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) issued a notification on November 19, making NEET scores mandatory for admission to 13 allied and healthcare courses. According to the notification, NEET will be mandatory for admission to these 13 allied and healthcare courses from the academic session 2025-26. This system will be implemented across the country. This means that admission to the UG and PG seats of these 13 allied and healthcare courses will be based on NEET scores. Passing NEET will be mandatory for admission to these courses.
What does the notification say?
The NCAHP stated in the notification that, according to the NCAHP Act, 2021, the entry criteria for admission to allied and healthcare courses have been included in the notified curriculum. Admissions to these courses are scheduled to begin from the academic year 2026-27.
The notification instructs the boards working under the Central/State Government/UTs to inform schools/institutes that students wishing to take admission in allied and healthcare undergraduate courses will now be required to pass NEET along with other eligibility criteria.
