Ramesh Ranjan, father of another successful student, Pooja Ranjan, said, “Pooja is very happy to have cleared the exam in the first attempt. She earlier studied in Sarvodaya Vidyalaya in Sonbhadra and came to Madihaan for Classes 11 and 12. She scored 81% marks in the UP Board exam. She used to study for 16 to 18 hours daily – 6 hours in school, 5 hours in coaching, and 6-7 hours in self-study.”
The state government was also impressed by this success.
Congratulating the students, Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Minister (Independent Charge) Asim Arun called it a “great success” and wished them a bright future.
He said on social media platform X, “In a few years, these girls will become doctors and save lives and keep people healthy. We will ensure that there is no hindrance in their scholarship.”
District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan said, “This is a historic moment for the region. Sarvodaya Vidyalaya of Madihan has become an ideal model for government schools. It is a residential school, where the girls have been studying for two years or more. Along with regular studies, they were also given coaching for NEET and JEE. All the arrangements for accommodation, food, and studies were free here.”
District Social Welfare Officer Trinetra Singh informed that "Sarvodaya Vidyalaya of Madihan has been developed as a 'Centre of Excellence'. I and the Deputy Director of Social Welfare constantly monitored the coaching and personality development of the students. We provided them with all the facilities of books, coaching, food, and sports."
12 out of 25 students got success
Director of the Social Welfare Department Kumar Prashant said this Centre of Excellence of Madihan is being run in collaboration with Varanasi-based X-Navodaya Foundation and Tata AIG.
