NEET UG Cancelled Following Paper Leak
NEET UG 2026 was conducted on May 3. Over 2.2 million candidates appeared for the exam; however, a case involving a paper leak came to light on May 7. Initially, the incident was believed to be a case of a "guess paper" going viral—specifically, it was suspected that 120 questions from the guess paper had appeared verbatim in the actual examination. However, as the investigation progressed, the matter was conclusively established as a clear-cut case of a paper leak. Subsequently, arrests were also made in connection with the case. In light of these developments, the NTA cancelled NEET UG 2026 and handed over the investigation into the paper leak matter to the CBI.
