NEET-PG 2026: Power outage during exam in Jaipur; re-examination to be held on September 5..

Chaos ensued at the Sitapura, Jaipur exam center during the NEET-PG 2026 examination when the power suddenly went out mid-exam. The power outage disrupted the computer-based testing system and sparked resentment among the candidates. A total of 311 candidates appearing for the exam at the Sitapura iON Digital Zone (iDZ) center faced this issue. Following the outage, candidates created a commotion at the center and questioned the arrangements. Out of 2.73 lakh registered students, 2.65 lakh appeared for the NEET-PG 2026 exam across 1,111 centers. However, the exam could not be completed at two iON Digital Zone centers (41682 & 41683) in Sitapura, Jaipur, due to a power failure involving TCS systems. A re-examination for the affected students will be held in Jaipur on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

Details regarding the new admit card and venue will be provided separately. The NEET-PG 2026 exam is being conducted across 15 centers in Jaipur on Sunday, with approximately 8,370 candidates from the city participating.

**Sudden Power Outage During the Exam**
The exam at the Sitapura iON Digital Zone (iDZ) center in Jaipur had commenced on schedule. It was being conducted in a computer-based format from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. During this time, the power suddenly failed at the center, causing distress to the candidates. Since it was a computer-based test, the power supply was directly linked to the examination process.

**311 Candidates Express Dissatisfaction**
A total of 311 candidates appeared for the NEET-PG exam at this Sitapura center. Dissatisfaction mounted among the candidates present after the power outage. Many expressed their displeasure with the exam arrangements and created a commotion at the center, leading to a sudden surge of crowds and unrest at the site. The candidates were concerned that the power interruption might adversely affect their exam and overall performance. 

Exam at 15 Centers in Jaipur
The NEET-PG 2026 exam is being conducted at a total of 15 centers in Jaipur, with approximately 8,370 candidates appearing for it. The exam is being held as a computer-based test from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Questions regarding the exam arrangements arose following a power outage at the Sitapura center; candidates urged the center's administration to resolve the issue and ensure the examination process remained uninterrupted.

Paper Rated Easy to Moderate
Candidates exiting the NEET-PG exam described the paper's difficulty level as ranging from easy to moderate. Some candidates at the ION Digital exam center in Noida's Sector-62 also complained about the heat during the test. The exam was conducted in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. According to the candidates, the paper was easy to moderate, and most questions were of a standard difficulty level.

Meanwhile, some candidates faced difficulties with biometric verification at the exam center. Biometric scans failed for several candidates, so they were identified using facial recognition technology. After the exam concluded, candidates also reported issues regarding the heat at the center.
