The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially released the NEET PG 2025 merit list for admissions under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. This list covers various postgraduate medical programs including MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, DrNB (six-year direct courses), and NBEMS Diploma for the academic year 2025–26.

Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check the merit list directly on the official website natboard.edu.in.

NEET PG 2025 Results Timeline

The NEET PG 2025 examination was conducted on August 3, 2025, in a single shift across multiple test centers in India. The results were declared on August 19, 2025. Following this, the release of the merit list now sets the stage for the upcoming counseling process.

NBEMS has also announced that the NEET PG 2025 scorecards will be available for download starting September 5, 2025. It is important to note that candidates will be able to download their scorecards only for the next six months. Therefore, aspirants are advised to keep a timely copy for future reference.

What the Merit List Contains

The released merit list includes key details such as:

  • All India Rank (AIR)

  • AIQ Rank

  • Category-wise Rank

These rankings will be crucial in determining eligibility for counseling and subsequent seat allotment under the 50% All India Quota.

NBEMS clarified that only candidates who have secured marks equal to or higher than the prescribed cutoff will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. Interestingly, the cutoff scores have been lowered across all categories this year, which means a larger pool of aspirants will have the opportunity to compete for postgraduate medical seats.

How to Check NEET PG 2025 Merit List

Candidates can access the merit list by following these simple steps:

  1. Visit the official website: natboard.edu.in.

  2. On the homepage, navigate to the ‘Public Notice’ section.

Who Can Participate in Counseling?

Only those candidates who meet or exceed the qualifying cutoff score will be invited for the counseling rounds. The counseling process will allocate seats for MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, DrNB, and diploma programs under AIQ.

With reduced cutoffs this year, experts suggest that competition will be intense but fair, giving many first-time aspirants a realistic chance of securing a postgraduate seat. The counseling schedule is expected to be released soon by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
