What was said in the affidavit?

Let us inform you that the central government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on the NEET case. The affidavit said that IIT Madras did data analysis and no abnormality or any collective error was seen in that data. The Centre also proposed to form a 7-member expert panel to consider all the issues raised so that no such paper leak problem arises in the future. It further said that the counseling process will be conducted in 4 phases starting from the third week of July. If any candidate is found to have benefited from any irregularity, then the admission of such candidate will be canceled at any stage during or after the counseling process.

The government in favour of not conducting the exam again

The government has further said in the affidavit that Madras IIT has been requested to investigate the people involved in the irregularity through data analysis. Their analysis shows that there has been no major irregularity because the number of people who have scored high marks in the exam is less. The Centre has said that it is ensuring that 23 lakh candidates are not burdened with the re-examination based on 'unsubstantiated suspicions'. The government has said that it is ensuring that no candidate found guilty of taking unfair advantage gets any benefit.
