MCC has changed the rules of the stray vacancy round for NEET UG students. In such a situation, now the students must know this rule, or else they may suffer a lot.

Important information is coming out for the students preparing for NEET. MCC i.e. Medical Counseling Committee has changed the eligibility rules for the stray vacancy round of NEET UG counseling. Also, MCC has added one seat following the court order. The commission has included 1 seat of Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Science Kudapakkam Post, Villianur, Puducherry in the stray vacancy round.

Also, the commission issued an important notice to all the state counseling authorities and asked them to share the data of students joining all the rounds by 5 pm on October 25 so that students joining seats in any state can be removed from the first list in the All India Quota Stray Round Vacancy Seat Allotment Process.

Eligibility Rules for NEET UG Counseling Stray-Vacancy Round

Students who do not have any seats in the All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in the MCC NEET UG Stray Vacancy Round.

Candidates who had joined the State Quota seats in the earlier phases are not eligible to participate in this phase.

Candidates who did not join the seats allotted by MCC in the third round are not eligible to participate in this round. However, students who did not report in the third round of MCC can participate in the State UG Counseling.

The data of the candidates included in the third round conducted by the Commission will be shared with the State Counseling Authority and such candidates will be denied participation in the State Quota Counseling.

Candidates can contact the State Counseling Authority officials for any information related to the counseling of state quota seats.

If any student does not join the seats allotted in the stray vacancy round, then in such a case their security money will be confiscated and they will also be denied from appearing in the NEET exam for the next year i.e. 2025.

When will the seat allotment result be released?

Let us inform you that the last date for registration for the NEET UG Stray Vacancy Counseling 2024 round is 25 October 2024. At the same time, the last date for choice filling and locking is 26 October while the seat allotment result will be released on 29 October. Apart from this, students will get time to report and join the allotted college from 30 October to 5 November.a
