NEET 2026 Refund: NEET UG Fee Refund Window Now Open; Applicants Should Update Their Account Details..
Following the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced that the fees paid by all registered students would be refunded and that the re-examination would be conducted by the NTA at its own expense. The NTA has now opened a window for fee refunds today, May 21. As soon as the window opens, all students will be able to receive their fee refunds by updating their bank account details.
**Students Who Applied via Cyber Cafes Must Update Account Details**
Students who applied through a cyber cafe, or whose fees were deducted from someone else's bank account, must mandatorily update their bank details within the specified dates. This ensures that the fee refund is credited specifically to the account details provided by you. If you do not update your account details, the funds will be refunded to the same account from which the original payment was deducted.
**How Much Will Be Refunded?**
Please note that the NTA had collected a fee of ₹1,700 from the General category, ₹1,600 from the OBC and EWS categories, and ₹1,000 from the SC, ST, and PwD categories. A fee of ₹9,500 was collected from NRI students. Now, the entire fee amount will be refunded to your bank account.
**Window Open to Update Present Address and Exam City**
For students whose present address has changed or who wish to change their designated exam city, the NTA has opened a window that will remain active until 11:50 PM tonight. You can make these changes to your details without incurring any additional cost.
**Re-examination to be Held on June 21**
The NTA will now conduct the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21, 2026. The scheduled timing for the examination will be from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
