NCERT to launch free online courses for 11th and 12th graders, registration to begin on this day

NCERT has launched free online courses for 11th and 12th graders. Enrollment will begin on September 22, 2025, and the exam will be held on March 3, 2026. Successful students with more than 60% marks will receive a certificate.

NCERT Free Online Course: If you're in 11th or 12th grade, there's good news for you. The National Council of Educational Research and Training has now launched free online courses to make learning easier for students. These courses are intended to help students prepare for board exams. The best part is that these courses will be available on the government's SWAYAM portal, and students can take them from home without paying any fees.

Enrollment and Exam Dates

The admission process for these courses will begin on September 22, 2025. Students wishing to enroll will have until February 20, 2026, which means they can enroll for approximately 5 months.

Course Duration

The total course duration will be 24 weeks, meaning students will have approximately 6 months to complete all modules and chapters. The final exam will then be held on March 3, 2026. To appear for the exam, students must register by March 2, 2026.

What Subjects Will Courses Be Available For?

NCERT has created courses in different subjects for Classes 11 and 12. For Class 11: Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. For Class 12: Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. All these subjects are divided into chapters and modules so that students can study gradually and systematically.

What will the courses be like?

All these courses will be prepared and taught by experienced NCERT teachers. Each subject includes topics that strengthen students' foundation and help them perform better in board exams. By being online, students will be able to study at their convenience and time.

A certificate will also be provided.

After completing the course, students will have to take an exam. If a student scores 60 percent or more in this exam, they will be awarded a certificate from NCERT. This certificate will be very important for students' academic achievement and can prove helpful in further studies or a career.
