Through this examination, admission will be granted to several courses, including B.Ed and M.Ed. Interested students can apply online by visiting the official website, cee.ncert.gov.in. The deadline for submitting applications has been set for June 5, 2026.
Courses Available for Admission
Through the NCERT CEE 2026, students will be admitted to various teacher education programs. These include courses such as B.Ed, M.Ed, Integrated M.Sc.Ed, Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed, and M.A. in Education Technology. Every year, thousands of students from across the country apply for admission to these courses.
Institutes Offering Admission
This entrance examination is being conducted for admission to NCERT’s Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs). Under this process, admission will be granted to the institutes located in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysore, Nellore, and NERIE Shillong. These institutes are widely regarded as highly prestigious centers for teacher education.
When Will the Exam Be Held?
The NCERT Common Entrance Examination 2026 is scheduled to be held on June 28, 2026. The examination will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode; this means students will be required to take the exam online on a computer. Further details regarding the examination will be made available following the issuance of the admit cards.
Who Can Apply?
Students applying for the Integrated M.Sc.Ed course are required to have passed their Class 12 examinations. Students belonging to the General category must secure a minimum of 50% marks, whereas a threshold of 45% marks has been prescribed for the SC, ST, and PwD categories. A notable feature is that students who have passed their Class 12 examinations in 2024 or 2025 are also eligible to apply. Meanwhile, for the Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed course, it is mandatory for candidates to hold a postgraduate degree. Additionally, they must have secured a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
Selection Process
According to NCERT, a weightage of 60% will be assigned to the CEE scores during the admission process. The remaining 40% weightage will be determined based on the students’ academic records. This implies that, alongside the examination, your performance in your previous academic studies will also play a significant role.
