NCERT Class 10 New Books 2027: There is significant news from the NCERT for board-level students. The NCERT plans to release new Class 10 textbooks by December 2026. According to reports, the NCERT has finalized its preparations for these new books. They are expected to be available to students about three months before the start of the 2027 academic session, providing both students and teachers with additional time to understand the updated syllabus. Regarding this, NCERT Director Dinesh Prasad Saklani stated that the syllabus for all Class 10 subjects will be submitted to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) by November 15, 2026. The updated syllabus will also be made available on the NCERT website.

New Books to Cover All Subjects

The new NCERT books are set to cover all subjects. The revised Class 10 textbooks from the NCERT will include English, Urdu, Hindi, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Science, Social Science, Skill Education, Art, and Physical Education. Language textbooks are expected to be available by November 20, while the remaining books are scheduled for release by December 2026. Furthermore, these new books are being developed in alignment with the revised school curriculum. Students entering Class 10 in 2027 will use these books for the 2027-28 academic year.

How Will Students Benefit from This?

It is reported that the early release of textbooks will help students understand the revised syllabus before the new academic session begins. Students currently in Class 9 will also have the opportunity to review the Class 10 syllabus ahead of their board examinations. Teachers will have more time to examine the updated content and prepare lessons in alignment with the revised syllabus. Furthermore, NCERT aims to make textbooks available across various platforms at fixed prices, thereby minimizing the risks of black marketing and the sale of pirated copies.

Where can the new books be purchased?

Once released by the NCERT, students can purchase the textbooks directly from the official NCERT website, ncert.nic.in. Additionally, the books will be available through platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Army Postal Services. Regarding sales figures, the NCERT sold 70.9 million textbooks during the 2026 academic year—the highest volume recorded to date. These revised textbooks are part of the broader transformations in school education under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
