NCC Maharashtra PM Internship: Major Job Opportunity for NCC Cadets; Placement Camps to be Held in Mumbai and Pune

NCC Maharashtra has launched the "Uniform to Profession" program under the PM Internship Scheme. Placement camps will be organized in Pune and Mumbai on June 15–16, 2026. Read on for full details.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Directorate Maharashtra has launched a significant and excellent initiative for the state's youth. A new program has been introduced under the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme (PMIS) with the aim of skilling young people and directly connecting them with new employment opportunities. NCC cadets and ex-cadets stand to benefit the most from this drive, gaining a pathway to work with major national companies, acquire essential future-ready skills, and build successful careers.

What is the vision behind the "Uniform to Profession" theme?

This special program has been launched under the theme "Uniform to Profession." This essentially means that the discipline, leadership qualities, and values ​​cadets learn in the NCC while serving the nation will now be leveraged to help them secure positions in private sector companies.

How extensive is the NCC Maharashtra network?

NCC Maharashtra boasts a vast network. It currently spans over 2,000 schools and colleges across all 36 districts of the state, engaging approximately 1.5 lakh cadets. This initiative aligns directly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's national vision and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's commitment to providing ample professional opportunities to the youth of Maharashtra.

Camps to be held in Pune and Mumbai

As part of the first phase of this initiative, a partnership has been established with the renowned hotel chain, Lemon Tree Hotels. Special placement camps are being organized in Pune and Mumbai under this partnership. Through these camps, a total of 150 young individuals will be offered corporate internship opportunities. NCC cadets from the Senior Division and Senior Wing, as well as ex-cadets who have graduated, are eligible to participate.

Key Information About the Camps

Pune Camp: The first pilot placement camp will be held at the Pune center on June 15, 2026, where youth will be selected for 50 positions.
Mumbai Camp: The second camp will take place in Mumbai on June 16, 2026, where youth will be selected for 100 positions.

In which areas will training be provided?

This internship is designed to provide youth with practical experience in office and hotel operations. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to work in the following key departments:

Human Resources
Sales and Marketing
Front Office Operations
Finance and Accounts
Food and Beverage Services
Purchase and Stores

What are the benefits of the internship?

The objective of this internship goes beyond just imparting work skills. In accordance with the guidelines of the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme, all selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend. Additionally, they will be provided with a separate joining incentive, mentorship from senior officials, and comprehensive training to advance their careers.

Special arrangements for girl cadets

Major General Vivek Tyagi, ADG of NCC Maharashtra, stated that special measures have been taken in collaboration with the Maharashtra government to encourage women's participation. Safe accommodation arrangements and additional financial assistance will be provided to girl cadets arriving from outside the area, ensuring they can learn in a secure and supportive environment without any concerns.
