Furthermore, no application fee will be charged to candidates applying for admission to classes 9 and 11.

Age Limit and Required Documents

For admission into classes 9 and 11 at Navodaya Vidyalayas, a student must have been born between May 1, 2012, and July 31, 2014. Candidates from reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation. Required documents for the application include a birth certificate, mark sheets for classes 8 and 10, a residence certificate, a copy of the Aadhaar card, a certificate issued by the district administration (for the rural quota), a category certificate, and a transfer certificate.

Academic Qualifications

For admission into class 9, the candidate must be enrolled in class 8 at a recognized school during the 2026-27 academic session. This school must be located in the same district where the specific Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya—to which the student is seeking admission—is situated. Meanwhile, for admission to Class 11, it is mandatory for the candidate to be enrolled in Class 10 at a recognized school during the 2026-27 academic session. The requirement regarding the school being located in the relevant district also applies in this case.
