MPPSC Exam to be Held Twice a Year; CM Mohan Yadav Makes Announcement
Speaking at the ‘CM Youth Conclave 2026’ held in Bhopal, the Chief Minister announced that the MPPSC examination would now be conducted twice a year in the state. He stated that this new system would come into effect starting next year.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made a significant announcement regarding the youth. At the ‘CM Youth Conclave 2026’ held at Bhopal’s Lal Parade Ground, he declared that the MPPSC exam would henceforth be held twice annually. The Chief Minister noted that the year 2027 would be observed as the ‘Year of Youth,’ and this decision was taken to provide young people with more opportunities to appear for competitive examinations. Approximately 20,000 youths from across the state participated in the conclave. Discussions during the event focused on opportunities related to employment, skill development, startups, entrepreneurship, research, and new technologies.
The Chief Minister mentioned that while the MPPSC exam has traditionally been conducted once a year in Madhya Pradesh, the decision has now been made to hold it twice. He added that recruitment processes for various government posts are ongoing, and the government took this step to create more opportunities for the youth.
12 New Universities to Open in the State
At the conclave, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also announced the establishment of 12 new universities. He stated that arrangements for free coaching to prepare for competitive exams would be made in government colleges across all districts of the state. The aim is to provide better preparation opportunities for the youth. He further announced that the monthly scholarship for research scholars would be increased from ₹16,000 to ₹25,000. Additionally, plans were announced to set up state-of-the-art AI and advanced computing labs in government colleges.
₹5 Crore Fund to be Established for Innovation
An announcement was made at the conclave to foster the ideas and innovations of the youth. According to the Chief Minister, an ‘Idea Fund’ worth ₹5 crore will be created at the state level. This fund will be utilized to encourage innovations and startup ideas among young people. During the event, the Madhya Pradesh Startup Center and CEDMAP provided information regarding activities related to startups and entrepreneurship. Youth were also informed about opportunities in emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, drones, semiconductors, renewable energy, and electric vehicles.
2027 to be Observed as ‘Year of the Youth’
The Chief Minister announced that the year 2027 would be observed as the ‘Year of the Youth.’ The government will focus on providing youth with opportunities related to skill development, self-employment, and entrepreneurship, alongside employment. The objective of the Youth Conclave was to engage in direct dialogue with young people to gather their suggestions and inform them about opportunities in education, employment, and future technologies. Information regarding career and employment, skill development, startups, research, and government schemes was also made available to the youth at the event.
