More than 8 thousand applications have been received for only 23 posts in the MPPSC AE 2024 exam, due to which there is a competition of more than 350 contenders for each seat.

There is a tremendous craze for the State Engineering Service Examination 2024 of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC). This time the commission has released vacancies for only 23 posts, but the surprising thing is that about 8 thousand candidates have applied for these 23 seats. That is, about 350 candidates are lined up for each post.

Earlier there were plenty of vacancies, now there is a decline

This is not the first time this has happened in the history of the State Engineering Service Examination. If we look at the data of the last three years, the situation was exactly the opposite-

In 2021, there were vacancies for a total of 493 posts.

Recruitment for 36 posts was announced in 2022.

No vacancy was announced in 2023.

In 2024, applications have been sought for only 23 posts.

Exam pattern also became clear

MPPSC has also made the exam pattern clear. This time the selection process will be in two phases-

Objective written test – It will have a total of 450 marks, out of which:

150 marks questions will be on general knowledge and general studies.

300 marks paper will be related to engineering subject.

Interview – 50 marks have been fixed in this.

Competition became fierce

Only 23 seats and 8 thousand contenders shows that this time the competition is going to be very tough. Youth who have studied engineering are applying in large numbers in search of government jobs. A big reason for this is that there is lack of stability and security in the private sector, whereas in government job there is not only stability but also social respect.

Will there be more vacancies in 2025?

However, officials associated with MPPSC believe that the number of posts under the State Engineering Service Examination may increase next year i.e. in 2025. Information is being sought from the departments regarding the vacancies and it is expected that new posts will emerge from many departments.
