MP SET 2025 Postponed: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has postponed the MP State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2025 due to unavoidable circumstances. The exam, which was scheduled for January 11, 2026, has been canceled, and a new date will be announced separately soon.

In an official notice, the commission stated that the decision was made due to certain unavoidable circumstances. The commission clarified that all the terms and conditions mentioned in the original notification will remain unchanged. This means there will be no changes to the eligibility criteria, age limit, vacancy details, or the total number of posts.

Candidates who qualify in the MP SET will be eligible to apply for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

According to the exam pattern, the MP SET 2025 will be conducted in offline mode and will consist of two papers. Paper 1 will be compulsory for all candidates and will test teaching and research aptitude. It will have 50 multiple-choice questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. Paper 2 will be based on the subject chosen by the candidate and will have 100 questions for 200 marks. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

To qualify, general category candidates must secure a minimum of 40 percent marks, while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category candidates require a minimum of 35 percent marks.

The online application process for MP SET 2025 closed on November 20, 2025. Candidates were also allowed to make corrections to their application forms between October 30 and November 22, 2025.

The MPPSC has advised all registered candidates to regularly check the official website for updates regarding the revised exam date. The commission has also cautioned candidates against relying on unofficial sources for exam-related information.
