MH CET 2026: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Mumbai, has started the registration process for MH CET 2026. This entrance exam is for admission to courses such as BSc Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing (DPN), and Public Health Nursing (PHN).
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website of the CET Cell, cetcell.mahacet.org. The last date for registration is February 24th. Applicants should note that the last date for submitting the application fee is also February 24th. No forms will be accepted after this date.
The information released by the CET Cell also clarifies that the MH CET 2026 exam for DPN and PHN courses will be held on May 5th. The exams for BSc Nursing and GNM will be conducted on May 6th and 7th. These exams will be held at centers in four major districts of Maharashtra: Mumbai, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), and Nagpur.
Regarding the fees, general and EWS category candidates, whether from Maharashtra or other states, will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000. The fee for Backward Class, Orphan, and other gender category candidates is Rs. 800.
Aptitude-based questions will also be included.
In terms of the exam pattern, the MH CET 2026 questions will include sections on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Nursing Aptitude. The DPN and PHN exams will consist of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions. The exam duration will be 90 minutes. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers, providing some relief to the students.
The CET Cell has also clarified that an APAAR ID is mandatory for registration. Candidates who do not have an APAAR ID will need to generate one through DigiLocker. MH CET registration cannot be completed without an APAAR ID.
