Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started an important initiative, under which now Master of Administration (MBA) can be done in Hindi and Oriya language from IGNOU. In this connection, IGNOU has announced to start MBA in Hindi and Oriya in a ceremony on Monday. Along with this, MBA course material has also been released in Hindi. At the same time, IGNOU also plans to start MBA courses in other Indian languages, which will benefit a large number of students across the country. This will provide opportunities to the candidates wishing to get higher education in their mother tongue.

MBA courses in 10 other Indian languages ​​soon

MBA courses in Hindi and Oriya were started by IGNOU in a ceremony organized at the India International Center. During this, Joint Secretary of Higher Education Mrityunjay Behera was present as the chief guest, while AICTE Vice President Dr. Abhay Jere and IGNOU Vice Chancellor Uma Kanjilal were present as special guests. During this, plans were also discussed, under which IGNOU will soon start MBA courses in 10 Indian languages ​​​​like Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, and Kannada.

Launch under AICTE's e-Kumbh project

IGNOU has started MBA courses in Hindi and Oriya, while soon MBA courses are to be started in 10 other Indian languages. This entire initiative has been made possible with the cooperation of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). AICTE's e Kumbh project aims to translate educational material into 12 Indian languages, under which the MBA course has been translated into Hindi and Oriya and is to be translated into the rest of the Indian languages. The educational material has been translated through AICTE's high-translation machine translator.

Special focus on the new education policy
Launching the IGNOU MBA Hindi and Odia courses, Joint Secretary of Higher Education Mrityunjay Behera said that by starting MBA courses in regional languages, IGNOU has realized the goal of multilingual and inclusive education of the New Education Policy 2020. He said that this is not just a compliance of the policy, but the beginning of cultural change in education.
